Job Description

Who We Are

Citizen Health was founded on the belief - shaped by firsthand lived experiences navigating healthcare - that having the right advocate is the single most important factor in achieving better care and outcomes. By uniquely combining data, AI, and community, Citizen is building a personalized AI advocate powered by patients' complete medical histories and data from thousands of other patients to generate personalized insights for clinical decisions and day-to-day challenges. Starting in rare and complex conditions, patients share their data in exchange for value, enabling biopharma and researchers with seamless access to patients and regulatory-grade data, shaving years off drug development for much-needed treatments.

Citizen is founded by experienced entrepreneurs with multiple successes under their belts and is funded by top-tier investors including 8VC, Transformation Capital, and Headline Ventures, among others. We are a mission-driven team excited to be building the future of consumer healthcare.

The Role:

As a Clinical Data Strategy Manager , you will spearhead innovative pilot programs that expand Citizen Health's capabilities across new therapeutic areas and use cases. Drawing on your experience working with clinical data to support research initiatives, you will become an expert in the technical and operational processes that enable real-world data generation at Citizen and work collaboratively to design and deliver clinical insights for patients, advocacy partners, and industry stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee pilot programs that expand Citizen Health's capabilities into new therapeutic areas and real-world data use cases, including establishing new capabilities, project planning, milestone tracking, and cross-functional coordination
  • Translate partner objectives and research questions into clear requirements and workflows, collaborating closely with clinical, data, and engineering teams, with an eye towards automation and scaling
  • Review pilot outputs, analyze metrics, and incorporate feedback to optimize processes and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Partner with Product and Commercial teams to design and deliver clinical insights that create value for patients, advocacy partners, and life sciences industry stakeholders
  • Contribute to defining clinical data strategy, especially as it relates to new therapeutic areas and data use cases, monitor trends in rare and complex diseases, and represent Citizen Health externally as a subject matter expert

Who you are:

You are a builder and problem solver at heart who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments. You have experience working in health technology, life sciences, or clinical research settings and enjoy tackling challenges that involve complex data, workflows, and systems. You are passionate about applying real-world evidence to transform patient care and are energized by the opportunity to design scalable solutions that improve outcomes for patients and advocacy partners. You love start-ups and can operate autonomously while understanding that close collaboration across clinical, product, and technical teams is essential to success.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a life science or health-related discipline (such as Genetic Counseling, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field) or commensurate experience
  • 7+ years of experience in clinical research, healthcare data initiatives, or digital health, ideally with a strong clinical foundation
  • Strong understanding of clinical data standards, regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA), and real-world evidence methodologies
  • Proven project management skills with a track record of delivering against timelines in dynamic environments
  • Experience collaborating across clinical, product, engineering, or business development teams
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences
  • Prior start-up experience preferred

Why Join Us?
