Delivers knowledge, experience and expertise across the value chain with a main focus in ensuring compliant safety risk/benefit assessments, leading a group of professionals in compliant evidence dissemination and ensuring fair and balanced scientific communication activities are developed and executed supporting the Image Guided Therapy Devices business. You are responsible for Providing thought leadership on key relevant clinical and medical affairs activities to support strategy development and strategy execution Providing and facilitating knowledge exchange regarding therapeutic portfolio and relevant clinical data in the interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular and structural heart areas Supporting business partners in clinical education/training, publication, communication, off-label communication requests and IIR programs Effectively translating scientific, clinical, market trends/research and stakeholder interaction data into publication strategies, messaging and tactical planning Developing and implementing a comprehensive global publication plan (including manuscripts, congress abstracts, symposium presentations and poster presentations) in collaboration and alignment with cross-functional teams Identifying, establishing, and maintaining relationships with key thought leaders Providing medical/scientific strategic and operational input into core medical affairs activities Providing medical expertise in assessment of clinical risk-benefit throughout product development and life-cycle management Leading the team in process improvements for safety assessments & surveillance, complaint analysis & benefit-risk assessments within a QMS Medical expertise for medico-legal/ product liability issues Contributing as a medical expert in discussions with KOLs, regulatory agencies, etc. Developing key talent within the safety team to drive safety initiatives within the Business and Philips You are part of Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD), which is a part of the Image Guided Therapy (IGT) business segment at Philips. IGTD offers advanced tools and technologies designed to innovate minimally-invasive, interventional procedures across the Coronary, Peripheral Vascular and Heart Rhythm Management clinical domains. IGTD is an area of growth focus within the entire Philips enterprise. To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following 10+ years’ experience in medical device / biotech industry in medical / clinical affairs, including organizational/people leadership roles MD, MBchC, MMBBS, or PhD is desired Successful track record leading medical affairs Deep knowledge and understanding of applicable standards / regulations in product development and life cycle requiring medical input, such as off-label communication, IIS, risk management, complaint handling, reporting requirements, GCPs, etc. In depth knowledge and application of global medical device regulatory environment, international regulations, initiatives, and standards Expertise in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular areas preferred Proven ability to be strong advocate for patient-centric decision making Anticipates changing priorities and demands and addresses them proactively Lead in areas of highly complex clinical risk to enable informed business decisions Lead in supporting Business decision making for field actions, patient safety, risk assessments, etc. Proven ability to manage talent with focus on talent development to ensure succession planning with strong scientific thinking embedded in the team Travel up to 25% may be required US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The pay range for this position is $ 154,000-$264,000 , annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
